Another way to keep costs down is to compare our 12-month broadband deals with the 30-day options as you can sometimes find our longer broadband deals have a lower monthly cost.

Summer plans

Our 12-month student broadband deals can sometimes have a lower monthly cost than our 30-day rolling broadband deals. But if you’re going home for the summer and not staying at uni to use your student WiFi, perhaps our more flexible 30-day deals are more like what you need.

Student discount broadband isn’t something we currently offer, as we can’t accept any student discount cards, like TOTUM or UniDAYS. Our student broadband deals do give you access to great perks, like Priority, at no extra cost. Or, if you’re open to a standard broadband contract rather than 30-day or 12 month broadband student deals, you can sometimes find special offer broadband deals that bring you savings or a gift from time to time.

All our deals come with unlimited broadband, including broadband deals for students. And with no broadband data allowance to worry about, you’re free to concentrate on what’s really important – your learning, streaming and connecting with loved ones online.

Our student broadband deals are only available to you if you have a university ‘ac.uk’ email address. But, don’t fret! Rolling contract broadband is a different option that’s open to all, not just students. These are flexible, 30-day deals that give you the freedom to cancel with just 30 days’ notice and you won’t pay an early disconnection fee.

You can find out our soonest available installation slots at checkout to help you to decide when to place your order:

• 1 to 7 days in advance - If your uni accommodation has had Virgin Media connected before, you’ll be offered the chance to have your student broadband setup the next working day or within 7 days.
• Around 14 days in advance - If the property hasn’t had Virgin Media connected before, it can take a little longer to have your student broadband installed. You should factor this in when placing your order to make sure your student WiFi is up and running on time.
