You become a customer of both Virgin Media and O2 which gets you access to Volt benefits, at no extra cost, as well as boosted services and lightning-fast speeds.
- If you’re new to Virgin Media and O2, you can take advantage by choosing from our broadband and SIM deals.
- If you’re already with us (Virgin Media), you can add an O2 Pay Monthly phone, tablet or SIM to unlock Volt benefits.
- If you already have an O2 Pay Monthly plan, get superfast Virgin Media broadband to be eligible for Volt benefits.
- If you’re already with Virgin Media and O2, you can sign in to your My O2 account to check your eligibility for Volt and activate your benefits.

We’ve boosted all our broadband and SIM deals to give you the next fastest available speed (up to 1Gbps). How fast you need to go can vary based on the number of devices using your home broadband at the same time and how data-heavy your online activities are. Learning a little about our upload and download speeds will help you decide our best deal for you.
Reliability
Intelligent WiFi technology is included as standard to help improve coverage around your home. For no extra cost, our broadband and SIM deals are backed up by our WiFi guarantee (if you don’t have it already) – plus, you’ll be provided with up to three WiFi Pods if needed, on us, to bolster connectivity. Meanwhile, it’s easy to enter your postcode and check O2’s network coverage in your area.
Allowances
We’re offering unlimited broadband. This should easily meet your usage needs for streaming, gaming, working from home, with no low data cap to get in your way. You also want to choose broadband and SIM only deals based on your mobile usage needs. Check the allowance of data, minutes and texts, and see if you can roll your unused data month to month – on O2 you can!
Roaming charges
Like to travel? O2 is the only major network that won’t charge anyone extra for EU roaming up to 25GB. All our broadband and SIM deals let you roam freely in 75 destinations worldwide at no extra cost, with O2 Travel Inclusive Zone (unless you already have this with O2 )*.

To start taking advantage of Volt, choose any of our broadband and SIM deals , or add an O2 SIM to your current Virgin Media broadband deal, or add our broadband to your current O2 Pay Monthly plan.
You can by having an eligible Virgin Media broadband package and an eligible Pay Monthly plan from O2 in your household. If you’re currently on an O2 Pay Monthly SIM and the My O2 app says you’re eligible, you can get Volt benefits simply by taking any of the Volt deals above.
If you’re an O2 Pay As You Go customer, you’ll first need to make the switch to Pay Monthly.
