Experience multi-room viewing with TV 360
The best way to enjoy 360 in your home is by kitting it out with two or three clever boxes, so you don’t miss a moment of your favourite shows. But what can you see? From all your channels and Recordings to your streaming apps, Profile recommendations and pay-per-view, you can watch everything on every box. It’s our fastest, smartest multi-room experience yet.
What are the benefits of multi-room?
Pause on one telly, play on another
You can switch from room to room, even room to Virgin TV Go app, without missing a moment. All your Profiles will be shared across the 360 boxes, including the same Pause Points and personalised recommendations.
Enjoy live TV and Recordings at different points
You can watch the same show in different rooms, but at your own place. No need to hold each other back or rush ahead to keep up.
Flexible parental controls
Adjust the settings for each box. For example, you can put more restrictions in the kids’ bedroom than in the living room.
Stops arguments over the remote
No more fighting to watch what you want. But if you keep hogging the best sofa, others may have a moan that it’s your turn to move to another room!
How is Virgin Media multi-room set up?
These are not wireless TV boxes. First, your room needs to have WiFi, as well as a cable connection which we can help you put in. Next:
- If you’re new to Virgin TV or you’re upgrading from TiVo – Follow our simple multi-room guide to set up the main 360 box remote, then repeat the steps for each Mini box.
- If you’re upgrading from V6 – We’ll post you a new remote for each box and help you download 360 from the internet. This software update won’t take long at all on the V6 boxes.
FAQs
If you’d rather not upgrade to 360, you can have up to six TiVo and V6 boxes (no more than three can be V6s).
Yes you can, if you’ve received a new TiVo box or upgraded to a better TiVo package. Just put the old box in another room and use an Ethernet cable to connect it to the WiFi Hub. This way, you won’t lose your downloads.
If you’re upgrading to 360, you can’t use an old TiVo box. These will be deactivated and you’ll need to have them replaced. You can’t have TiVo or V6 and 360 on the same account.
Not on a telly. But if you don’t mind a smaller (mobile, tablet or laptop) screen, then all you need is the clever Virgin TV Go app or website.
Simply register up to five of your devices with this free streaming service and you can watch Virgin TV on two devices at the same time, wherever there’s WiFi or mobile internet connection in the UK. That’s over 100 live TV channels – depending on your package – and all your inclusive box sets, plus TV on demand as well.
Concentrate on lowering the set up and installation cost as much as you can. For example, you could look to save on these types of expenses:
- Fitting a cable connection – If you can, put the Mini box in a room where a cable is already installed. All 360 boxes need a cable to get live TV channels.
- WiFi Booster fees – Try to avoid these by setting up the 360 box within range of the WiFi Hub, where it gets a fast, reliable connection.
- Technician appointments – Find a special offer deal that includes set-up for no extra cost. Or order a free QuickStart self-install kit and you’d stand to save £30 that you’d pay for a technician. 360 boxes are quick and easy to plug in and set up.
Well, it’s the broadband and TV or broadband, TV and phone deals you want to take a look at. You won’t see any ‘multi-room offers’ as such, as you can add an extra TV box or two to any package – just before you finish your order.
With so many to choose from, the best way to find the right offer for you and your budget is to hold off shopping until you’ve had a chat with the people you live with. Discussing the types of shows and series and the particular channels they like to watch will make comparing our packages so much easier. All the channels you get are listed out for each package, helping you see at a glance which offer includes the most of what you want to watch. That’s the best one for you.
