My Sky Sports app is not working
Need an account? Register for My Virgin Media today. You can add accounts for people you’re living with but remember, only your main one can use Sky Sports. If you’re unable to watch due to your account being suspended, please contact us. Otherwise, you can find out your username or password online, if you need a reminder.
Virgin Media Sky Sports app not working? Just so you know, you must be trying to watch in the UK, on a good WiFi, 4G or 3G mobile data connection. Using a non-standard internet connection, such as a proxy server at university, work or an internet café, can cause problems. And sharing your connection with other devices can affect Sky Sports.
Using a Windows PC or Mac? Before restarting your computer, check your web browser is:
Compatible with Sky Sports, listed in ‘How to watch on a browser’ (above). If not, please close it, open one that is and sign in to watch Sky Sports.
Set to Always Allow cookies, following these instructions for Safari, Google Chrome, Firefox or Internet Explorer.
Using the Sky Sports mobile app? Allow the app to have your location and enable location services on your phone, if you haven’t already. Deleting photos or apps can help free up storage space for Sky Sports, if your mobile’s too full. And if you’re still having trouble, try this…
Restart Sky’s app
Open your Recent Apps menu and close Sky Sports.
Open the app, tap More > Log Out, then More > Log In > Sign In With Virgin Media TV.
Enter your My Virgin Media account details.
Restart your device
Switch your mobile, computer or tablet off and on again.
Open the Sky Sports app. Is the problem fixed?
Reinstall Sky’s app
Open Apps, tap and hold Sky Sports: drag up to Uninstall and tap OK.
Download the Sky Sports app from the Google Play or Apple’s App Store.
