How to book a Virgin Media engineer?

Booking an engineer is easy with Virgin Media. Whether you’re getting your broadband, tv or home phone set up, or have a technical issue that needs looking at, our friendly engineers are happy to help. Learn how to book engineers, reschedule appointments, or cancel appointments with Virgin Media.

Getting connected When you place your order, we'll let you know whether you can choose QuickStart (our self-install option) or if you'll need one of our expert engineers. If you’re having Virgin Media installed by one our engineers, you'll be able to choose the installation day and timeslot when you place your order. Nice, easy, and convenient.

Problem with your service If anything does go wrong with your Virgin Media products or services, the issue can usually be solved by accessing our simple self-service repair tool. If you're still unable to fix the issue, our team will be happy to help. Should we need to send out an engineer, we’ll give you an appointment at a time that best suits you. Engineer call-outs are at no extra cost* *This excludes misuse and mistreatment.

How to track engineer appointments and deliveries

You can track your engineer appointments online. Simply sign in to My Virgin Media and you’ll see your appointments on your account dashboard.

You can also track your appointments using the My Virgin Media app. How you do this depends on whether you have an installation appointment or have booked an engineer to fix a fault.

To track your installation appointment using the app:

  1. Open the My Virgin Media app

  2. Tap Menu

  3. Choose Track Order

To track a service appointment using the app:

  1. Open the My Virgin Media app

  2. Tap Menu

  3. Choose Your appointment

How to reschedule delivery, installation or fault appointment

To change an appointment or delivery date, simply sign in to your My Virgin Media account or the app and find your appointment details. So long as the appointment is more than 24 hours away, you’ll be able to click Reschedule and follow the steps to edit your appointment. You can reschedule an engineer appointment up to 3 times.


How to cancel Virgin Media engineer appointment

To cancel an engineer appointment, sign in to your My Virgin Media account or the app and find your appointment. Then, simply click Cancel next to your appointment details on your account dashboard and follow the steps. If you'd like to cancel an upcoming installation appointment, please contact us.

The installation process usually takes the engineer between 30 minutes and 2 hours, depending on what’s in your home and what you’ve ordered.

We’ll try our very best to give you an appointment that’s most convenient for you. When you call or place your order, we’ll let you select a time and date from the available options. How long it takes for an engineer to repair your service depends on the fault, but they’ll get it sorted as quickly as they can.
