The Great Celebrity Bake Off For Stand Up To Cancer is back to fill the (doughnut) hole in your life

Bake up and smell the cake! It’s time to get back in the tent with an absolutely stellar line-up of celebs competing in the fundraising event. In each episode of the five-part series, four celebrities will bake, rattle and roll across three challenges – the Signature, Technical and Showstopper – as they compete for the Star Baker apron.
As always, Prue Leith, with her colourful outfits and fondness for boozy bakes, and Paul Hollywood, with his steely gaze and coveted handshake, will judge the flavour and presentation of each treat. Matt Lucas hosts (and tastes) solo this time around, as co-presenter Noel Fielding was on paternity leave at the time of filming.

The series kicks off with Stars Wars actor Daisy Ridley, comedian and Celebs Go Dating narrator Rob Beckett, The X Factor’s 2008 winner Alexandra Burke and funny man Tom Allen. Allen, who stepped in to host Bake Off with Lucas last year, also presents Bake Off: The Professionals and The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice, but will he rise to the occasion?
We’ll find out who measures up as the bakers are tasked with making a millionaire’s shortbread for the Signature, a fruity tart for the Technical and their pet hate in cake form for the Showstopper.
While the celebs had more time than usual over the past year to get acquainted with their kitchen and become a dab hand at all things doughy and delicious, they will still have to prove themselves (get it, get it?) on the show.
To prepare for the latest series, we ranked the good, the bad and the hungry of Celebrity Bake Offs past, sort of like the Ghost of Christmas Past from A Christmas Carol, coming back to haunt the stars with the creations they thought were long forgotten…

The Great Celebrity Bake Off For Stand Up To Cancer airs on Channel 4 HD (CH 104/141) on Tuesdays at 8pm, with the first episode screening on Tuesday 9 March. It is also available for 30 days in Catch Up > Channels > All 4.
