With ITV’s latest crime drama set to have you gripped, the show’s star explains why it would be criminal to miss it
By Virgin TV Edit
Get ready for more arresting crime drama on ITV, as one of modern crime fiction’s most popular characters is brought to life in brand new feature-length drama Grace.
Adapted by Endeavour writer Russell Lewis from Dead Simple, the first novel in bestselling author Peter James’ Roy Grace series of thrillers, John Simm stars as the eponymous Brighton-based detective – a man who is as dedicated to his job as he is unorthodox.
“Do we want pepperoni on that?”
Haunted by the disappearance of his wife, Grace’s career has hit a wall. Tasked with following up leads on cold cases, he runs the risk of being moved from his job after rubbing his superiors up the wrong way yet again. That’s until Detective Sergeant Glenn Branson (Richie Campbell, Liar) asks Grace to help him on a mysterious new case.
When a groom goes missing following his stag night, Grace and Branson get to work on figuring out where he is and what has happened to him. But as the detective duo try to locate their man, who also boasts a successful career as a property developer, Grace finds himself dangerously drawn to the bride to be.
With another feature-length episode due to air later this year, Grace is the latest crime drama from ITV that looks set to have viewers hooked from start to finish. Here, star John Simm explains more about this new thriller…
