What’s better than watching people watching TV? Watching celebs watching TV!
By Laura Rutkowski, Staff Writer
If there’s one thing everyone is turning to right now, it’s TV, and Gogglebox is the series seeing everyone through. The show, which is normally filmed by camera crews, adapted its format to use stationary cameras during lockdown. Our much-loved armchair critics delivered the best quips and funny bits safely from the comfort of their own homes, while we laughed and cried along with them.
Fans have been craving more than one episode a week, but the last episode of the current series aired on Friday 22 May. It left everyone at a complete loss, wondering how they would cope until its September return. Well, we’ll tell you how: Celebrity Gogglebox. Oh yeah, it’s back, baby!
The line-up includes: Denise van Outen and her partner Eddie Boxshall; Nick Grimshaw and his niece Liv Grimshaw; Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash; Harry Redknapp and his wife Sandra Redknapp; Zoe Ball and her son Woody Cook; Olympian Nicola Adams and her partner Ella Baig; and Iain Stirling and Laura Whitmore – not to mention some of their pets. Van Outen, Boxshall and the Grimshaws are back by popular demand after previously appearing on the show.
The success of Gogglebox can probably be attributed to the fact that when you’re watching it, it feels like you’re doing so with some of your closest friends, but who would you most want to watch with? Take our quiz below to find out who you’d be paired up with for remote-hogging, sofa-slouching telly that’s made to be talked about.
