Ready for another season of epic drama from the sporting roller coaster that is Gallagher Premiership Rugby?

After Exeter Chiefs eventually got their hands on the trophy last time out, the new campaign is all poised to be as hotly contested as ever – and you can follow all of the action on BT Sport. From loads of live matches to extensive highlights and expert analysis, it’s time to bring it on.

Want to get bang up to speed on what to expect this season? Here, we answer the burning questions about what’s to come…

Who are the favourites?

That’ll be Exeter Chiefs. Rob Baxter’s men are not only the kings of England after clinching their second Premiership crown last season, they’re also the kings of Europe after going all the way in the Champions Cup. Boasting a winning blend of craft and graft, the Chiefs really are the cream of the crop right now.

Who are the Chiefs’ main challengers?

After impressive performances last season, you’ve got to be looking at Wasps, Bristol Bears and Bath as the top contenders to the throne. Bristol in particular will be fascinating to watch this term after finishing third and winning the European Challenge Cup last time out. It’s looking like it could be a compelling – not to mention bruising – title race from start to finish.

Who are the new kids on the block?

Newcastle Falcons are back in the mix, gaining promotion to replace the relegated Saracens. Led by Dean Richards, the Falcons won all 15 of their matches in the Championship last season before the campaign was ended early due to the coronavirus pandemic. It’s a welcome return to the top flight for a team that features some eye-catching talent.

Any big signings to know about?

Leicester Tigers have done themselves a tidy bit of business by bringing in experienced scrum-half Richard Wigglesworth from Saracens. Meanwhile, Bristol Bears have bolstered their pack with pugnacious prop Kyle Sinckler from Harlequins and Gloucester have brought in dangerous winger Jonny May from Leicester.

Where can I watch the action?
