How we work

We have a well-defined strategic sourcing toolkit that we apply as appropriate to a particular project.  This may mean a full strategic review or it may be simple RFX process.

Virgin Media Procurement uses an online sourcing application, which helps us to streamline and enhance our competitive bidding process.

Our online sourcing application is used to conduct requests for quotations, information or proposals (RFXs). If you're invited to participate in our supplier selection process then you may be asked to do so using our online application. With the application, you'll be able to respond more easily to the RFX and in our preferred format; you'll be able to work more efficiently with your team members in preparing a response; and avoid the administrative costs typically associated with submitting a proposal.

If you are invited to participate in an RFX you'll receive an email providing you with login details to the online system. On the day that the RFX is opened, you'll receive an email from the request owner indicating that the request is available. Simply follow the instructions in the email to access the RFX.

Once you have logged into the system, there is a Supplier User Guide available to assist you.

We’ve developed a risk framework to fully identify the key areas of supplier risk and these are actively monitored and managed.  The risks managed include financial solvency, cost and supply risks, regulatory compliance and reputational risk.

Any new suppliers that we set up go through robust checks to ensure we’re confident of a best match for our business.
